Planning a Podcast (2 apps or tips each)

    • Desktop app for syncing between your Mac or PC to the iPad
    • Google Docs for collaborative editing
    • Show Notes Editor
      • Edit your notes, save them to the cloud for collaboration
      • Open the notes in Safari during the show to keep on track
      • Make sure to put links in the docs to relevant websites
  • Tip: Preparing your iPad for the show
    • Kill any open Safari tabs
    • Move any apps that you showcase to the home screen
    • Set the background to a solid color or picture

    • Camera Connection Kit
      • Import Video from Cameras
      • Use USB Dongle to record directly onto iPad using USB Microphones
    • iPhone 4
      • Use iPhone 4 to record video podcasts (alternating front and back cameras)
      • Use camera connection kit to import those videos onto the iPad
  • Tip: Recording Skype Interviews on the iPad
    • Requires a Google Voice Number
    • Have interviewee call your GV number linked to your Skype number
    • Hit 4 and Google will record the conversation in good quality for download later
    • Use Downloader to download onto iPad then email to account (also works for voicemails)
    • Use Open In functionality to edit in apps such as Reforge or other audio editors
    • (Also Safari is a great app to finalize publishing of podcasts)
