Confirmed new iPad Specs
- retina display with 4x the pixels of the iPad 2, 2048×1536 pixels, which is greater than 1080p.
- quad core graphics, still dual core app processor.
- 5MP iSight camera that shoots 1080p video with advanced optics.
- 4G LTE
- still 10 hour battery only very slightly thicker, 9 hours on 4G.
- 1080p screen mirroring to the latest AppleTV and 720p to earlier models.
- Siri voice input, not the full assistant.
- Automatically upgrades resolution of apps that use the native interface widgets. Developers can include their own graphics for Retina/regular display just like on the iPhone
- No iPad Mini
- iPad 2 still on sale now for $399, $349 for a refurbished unit.
